For the quodpod event broomsmanship successes are the only ones that lower the difficulty of the take the shot check right? Successes on the brawl option have no upside?

I could handle the brawl check ok 2y1g, broomsmanship is fine as well 1y3g but athletics is only 3g so make the shot isn't great unless I do well on the broomsmanship roll
