Can advantages on First Impression roll be added as boost dice to the Asking Out roll?

Does John count as Polite company for Proper Upbringing? Or is he a more rough and tumble sort?

No; First Impressions are as is - it's not a normal roll but mostly summing up any interactions you might have had with the individual up to this point to set their current opinion of you. The purpose of Advantages and Threats is basically to cancel out a Failure/Success.

He is a Pureblood, so yeah.

Do we cancel out dice success to failure, advantage to threat as per usual BEFORE we apply the event specific Super Doom Advad/Threat rules?


Cos if we do . . . mah failure turns into a success andah need to rewrite mah Seeker Seduction attempt.

Whatever Orokos is telling you is the final outcome is what you're using; the "house rule" is GMs spending the threats without having to manually adjudicate on each roll.

Additionally, Threats do not remove already accumulated successes from previous rolls; they only affect the current roll. If something has effects outside of the current roll, it will be stated.

An example:

You roll 3 Successes and 1 Threat; that totals to 2 Successes.
You then roll 1 Successes and 1 Threat; that adds 0, keeping a total of 2 Successes.
You then roll 0 Successes and 3 Threat; that adds 0, but you still keep your total of 2 Successes.
