Is this a light tower? (D3 evening after Midterms expecting)

I wonder how many rules this breaks?

Layla had been pumped from all hers and Sylvs investigations so far, and had been riding the hype. However, in the chilly evening as they approached the tower, suddenly she wondered if she was getting herself into a lot of trouble. Stopping nearish to the tower, hopefully out of sight, she whispered to Sylv "are we supposed to be here?"

The woods was the thunderbird's ally. Striding through the vegetation unimpeded he could easily scout a few seconds ahead

''I don't think we are'' whispered Sylvain, keeping in the shadows ''Sleepers...I mean no-maj...can venture here''

"Sleepers? That's a new one" Layla frowned, looking outwards towards the tower again "I guess we have to hide here and wait until night to see if the tower lights up, and which way any light shines....or do we try to go in? Hmm..."

Sylvain frowned has he thought about the situation

''Mmmh...better hide outside and watch for surveillance until dark. Getting in might not be easy nor necessary...and may very well end up trapping us inside so we only risk if nothing else happens''

"Agreed" Layla nodded "you've done this kinda thing before haven't you? Where would be the best place to watch from do you think?"

Sylvain was amused by that assertion

''I hunt a lot'' he said as a reply before looking for a good watchpoint

Has he looked around his form began to change. His ear grew sharper, his eyes took the color of autumn and his clothes made way to fur

Woah....that's cool. As long as he's just wolf, not like werewolf...

Layla had stood there stunned as Sylwolf went in, then took a few moments to think back on her studies. She remembered a book about how people made each footstep count, placing them down slowly and gently, and to be careful not to step on things that cause noise. Easy, right?

Maybe if you were a wolf, but Layla managed to move quietly after the wolf anyway.

I swear if this is a trick to lead me to a pack of wolves I'll turn them all into ferrets.

You approach the large object, a impressive sight, with the light shining out from above. It's not so dark that you would have difficulty getting there, but it is starting to there. The memorial itself is closed for the day, but that was just for the No-Majs, clearly. As you approach the fence, a light shines on the wolf as Layne looks on at it, still yet to be seen.

"Wow, a lone wolf.." A guard says behind the fence. "Never though I'd see a literal one of those before..."

Ostie de marde

Je was spotted but that was not the end of it. He knew how wolves where, especially near human settlements. Now was time for some method acting.

The wolf froze at attention when the light came over it. Ears perked up, body tense, it lowered his head to observe the human. The very real wolf was ready to bolt as soon as the weird ape would make a move in it's direction.

The guard continues to keep his flashlight on you for a few moments as you convincingly do wolf things. After awhile, seeing that you are neither a threat nor plan on doing anything suspicious, continues to move on to the next part of his patrol.

Layla watched the whole thing from her nice hiding spot, impressed.

Damn, he's good at being a wolf....or he's good at being a human. One of the two at least.

She waited for the light and guards to move on before making a small motion to get the wolves attention to join her in the watching spot

It doesn't take long for it to occur and, if the wolf does nothing else suspicious, withing 5 minutes the way becomes clear again.

Sylwolf would carefully trek back into the woods, observing the movement of the guards in order to find a pattern, joining Layla.

''Arf''

Layla managed to both hold back a giggle and resist petting the wolf. Instead moving forward with Sylv, closer to the tower, remaining hidden while doing so.

As you continue on to the tower, you are met with you next greatest hurdle: a chain link fence. The accursed No-Maj security features, blocking your path, preventing your entry into this magical tower.

It does not look as secure as most things you would expect; not barbed and it's not electric, but it is still a nuisance you must deal with.

How do you plan to deal with this?

Sylwolf poked Layla's wand with his nose, clearly indicating the use of magic.

Second option would be digging under it or climbing it...Sylwolf could do it but he was not sure about Layla

Layla nodded, taking out her wand. Whispering the incantation under her voice to allow her to cut through the fence. Assuming it sets off no alarms, she cuts along enough to allow her to lift up the fence and let first the wolf then her through.

It's nothing to worry about and in a moment, the fence has a hole in it.

Moving on thru it you carry on into the building itself, finding yourself face to face with the structure yourself. With your trust hound beside you, you open the door and enter the tower, its door surprisingly unlocked.

Not much for security measures, it seems.

Inside is a circular room with a message across the top of the wall: Those immortal dead who live again in minds made better by their presence.

Further past is a circular staircase leading up to the top of the tower.

Sylvain would sniff the air around to sense if anything was amiss in the tower

Layla stepped carefully into the room, looking around her. She was pretty sure this was against the rules now, but they'd gone so far now...

She motioned to the stairs, then looked back at the wolf, as if asking do we go up?

With them both in agreement, Layla moved to the stairs, heading up slowly.
