October comes to a close - and with that close causes the screaming realization that mid-terms are here. But it's all right - you've been preparing. You've been studying. You can do this - after all, this isn't the test to decide the future of your career. That's not for another months yet, so why worry about it when the crippling anxiety of these exams are right there?

The days are rainy with brief breaks during the day, the distant Pitch in use as teams practice for the opening of both Qudditch and Quodpot season next month. The temperature stays just above the freezing mark, making the days chilly and the nights almost cold; in the early morning, frost is visible across the entire grounds.

As midterms arrive, the house totals sit as such.

Second: Thunderbird, with 85 Points

Midterms might be here - but so is the year's first dance. It's been busy and maybe there've been other distractions... but the popularity contest begins and teenagers are the harshest judges.

"Oh, that's what you keep saying! I bet you're making it all up! Hired for being one of 'Dumbledore's Army' I bet! Balderdash!"

"I bet you never even met Potter! Did you even go to Hogwarts? I'm going to get to the bottom of this, you know!"
