[Day One] September 2, 2019
Arrival
A light mist drizzles over Mount Greylock as dawn breaks on Labor Day. Although it's a holiday across most of the country, the first hint of light sees Gideon Hornette, proprietor of the small retro diner "The Pickled Hedgehog," sweeping out his back room with the occasional glance at his ever-so-odd pocket watch with the smell of constant fresh coffee hanging in the air.Arrival
At five minutes to 9, he puts the broom away, procures a cup of coffee before leaning back in a chair in his backroom. Then, promptly on the dot, the room is filled with the sound of a pop and the first of this year's crop of students arrives. While the earlier students are older students and know what to do, Gideon still shoos them away into the main diner to get breakfast to make room for the next arrivals in five minutes...
Events
Arrival at the Pickled Hedgehog
Students are gathered at the Pickled Hedgehog in groups before being loaded on to buses to take up to the school. They arrive via their gordian knot-shaped portkey in five minutes intervals by year. Fifth years find themselves arriving between eleven in the morning and noon. This is a roleplay event and players are free to interact in threads at The Pickled Hedgehog taking place within that window; please stick to one thread per "table" or so.
All Aboard the Beetle Bus!
The bus is here and it's finally time to go up to the school! Finish up your snacks, find a seat, and maybe show off to your fellow fifth years. Or, maybe, it's the perfect time to prank them all... ?
