High and Low [Grace and Cian]

On orders from her high and mighty, Cian made his way over to the cupboards to collect the proper ingredients for the devilish task they were about to perform. Taking a quick look at the items in question, he made his most proper judgement, after all it's by the look of something that indicates it's of better quality! Thus, clearly, these ones that look much better should be the proper materials, of proper quality. It was a plan of the most fool-proof origin.

Hope, however, lay in the fact that despite the inaccuracy in his assignment of proper materials they'd be able to make something out of it anyway. A truly more astonishing task, for sure.

"Alright, so we've got these to work with then?" he said, sliding into the seat beside Grace. "You've got a plan, yea?"

"My cunning plan is to...follow the instruction in the book." She sighed. It seemed to pair up with Cain like a good idea at the time, but now...she was a bit doubtful. She eyed the ingredients he brought back. She hoped that was hippogriff feather, and not griffin feather. Huge difference between those two.

"Now, I'm going to need to crush the dragon fruit suids into a paste and mix with minotaur milk. Can you stir the cauldron meanwhile? Three clockwise, 4 counterclockwise, alternate every fifth rotation. Cheers!" she didn't even wait for him to register and got started...time was ticking after all!

In the end, it wasn't the best potion she could brew, but it was good enough for an A for the two of them at least.

The Professor makes his way down to you next, looking on at the limey girl and the man with no last name. "Cee, Gracie...hmm..." He glances over. "Hmm...I can smell it from here. It's pugnacity is atrocious...obviously what happens when you pick some of the worst ingredients. Still..." He leans in and takes a small sip. "Still, Gracie, you've managed to turn that around and make something worthwhile; I am impressed. We often do not get to pick what we can use out in the fields, when we have to, and making due with it is something of note. Be mindful of this lesson, Cee, keep a sharp look at your surroundings. Gracie, nice job."

With that, he grabs his cat and moves on to the next table.

Cian was a perfect partner, outside of choosing the improper ingredients. Following Grace's instructions he'd, at some point or another, muttered to himself how stupid it was to make it so confusing in the first place. Meh, what' he know about potions anyway? Didn't need it when you had magic, not really, right? Yea, right. Totally. Useless, surely.

Not really.

Cian didn't think that though, probably.

"Did a good job there, Grace," he said, nodding his head at her, "had to test you, an'all, you know?"

"Yeah, sure...test." she rolled her eyes, before handing him a vial of dark, muscous potion.

"Just be grateful I didn't leave you to work with the Vanderwycked."

"I'm sure they'd be a wonderful partner," he said, "so long as they don't use magic," his voice trailed a bit. Tapped his hands against the top of the workstation, and then shifted to turn toward Grace with one elbow leaning on the workstation. Taking the vial with his free arm and setting it aside.

"Anyway, to what do I owe the pleasure of your charity of saving me from a fate of being tossed against a wall accidentally?"
